Dandelion Greens Inspiration and Wishes

There are none among our Salted and Styled family of women that have not picked the scape of an aged dandelion, held it ever so closely to our lips and gently blew it’s seeds into the air –all the while making a wish. We wish for the health and happiness of our children and husbands. We wish for a certain peace that is only found in the stillness of thought. And, we wish for love.

This week a simple dandelion is our inspiration. Though some see only a pesky backyard weed, we prefer to see its simple beauty and healing properties. Today enjoy the beauty of the dandelion in photos. Tomorrow, our beloved Katherine Sandoz shares one of her original drawings. This one, a devilish dandelion with an ever so slight French accent. Wednesday, Amy Zurcher introduces us to a piece of dandelion inspired art that she’ll convince us to love as much as she. And on Thursday, Brenda Anderson steeps up a dandelion tea that is known to calm and cure. As always, the thoughtful beauty, as seen through the camera lens, of photographer Chia Chong ties each piece together. Grab a dandelion, blow ever so gently and make a wish with us each day this week.
