Inspired by a Farmer’s Market Food Revival
It’s the vendors at my local farmer’s market that make me get out of bed to fight for first pick of their fresh okra. Truth be told, I don’t like okra. What I love, are the people selling okra. Apart from the Cosby Kids, these peddlers of cheese, meat and produce are the coolest Saturday morning kids I ever shared a bowl of cereal with.

You Say Pocketbook, I Say Purse
It’s not been until my latter adult life that I learned that pocketbook was the universal term for “handbag”. Either way, a girls gotta have one with her at all times –where else would we store our receipts and change, right? A purse defines your mood and look (I would say “outfit”, but I despise that word).

Bright Lights, Sexy Flowers
One summer, long ago, I walked through the streets of Seoul, Korea. I remember the vivid colors, the bright lights, the culture, and of course, the orchids. There is something about an orchid. The way it makes me feel delicate and ladylike and romanced. As I created this simple, yet sexy arrangement, I imagine a courtship, a flirtation, the beginning of a wonderful affair.
