Inspired Art
“The Sheep Object” so masterfully painted by SCAD alumnus Russ Noto, sets my imagination running absolutely wild. I am utterly tickled by the notion that someone built this baby from scratch using an old oil barrel, some thick crumpled paper and bent metal rods. I guess the word “RED” emboldened in scarlet and slapped on the side of any such unexpected beast would give me pause, but this particular creature interests me on multi-levels.
Operation Ogee
We are about to undergo “Operation Ogee” in celebration of this week’s muse: the onion. No worries, this DIY onion project is totally doable – just sit back as my dear, dear sweet friend Kyle Millsap peels it off layer by layer. We are talking about painting stacked onions on the wall but no one needs to cry about it. You won’t shed a tear—I promise!
