Inspired by a Farmer’s Market Food Revival
It’s the vendors at my local farmer’s market that make me get out of bed to fight for first pick of their fresh okra. Truth be told, I don’t like okra. What I love, are the people selling okra. Apart from the Cosby Kids, these peddlers of cheese, meat and produce are the coolest Saturday morning kids I ever shared a bowl of cereal with.
Inspired by Strawberries
Succulent, sensual and a showy shade of red peeking through a garden of green. The heady aroma of a woven basket filled with those from a pick-your-own roadside farm. Our muse this week is a fresh strawberry.
Waxing On About Love and Dandelions
Try to imagine being a child again where you saw each dandelion as an opportunity and not merely a landscaping nuisance. Remember back to the time when you would rush at the chance to pluck one with its head of white bursts between your chubby little fingers, fill your cheeks like billowing sails to blow, blow the top clear off sending shining white puffs into the sky.
