Straight green hair with short bangs and legs that go on for days. The midnight cravings of a furry mammal mother. A perfect carrot. This week on Salted and Styled we celebrate the simplicity and complexity of a simple carrot and all it signifies this time of year. Today, photographer Chia Chong takes a humble bunch and when arranged in a lavish bowl transforms it into art. On Tuesday, writer Andrea Goto shares a special (and very funny) story that blows the cover off the Easter bunny. The beauty found in a carrot top and channeled through artist Katherine Sandoz inspires our Wednesday post. On Thursday, you need to look no further, Libbie Summers shares a recipe for the best carrot cake cupcakes you will ever have. Friday, Amy Zurcher brings the beauty of carrot inspired artwork to the site.

Saturday, laugh along with Brenda Anderson and Libbie Summers as you listen to their podcast, Simmer Down, about Easter celebrations of past and present. They also share two fantastic recipes. Sunday is for the little ones and fashion stylist, Brooke Atwood, picks the perfect child’s outfit for a special non-secular day. As always the thoughtful photography of Chia Chong is seen throughout the week. Check in with us each day. You don’t have to have a medical license to find out “what’s up”!
