how radishing
The majority of families don’t “do” radishes but mine historically has and does. At six, I carried the nickname – my first, last and only as far as I know – “Miss Radishes” for the color of my once rosy cheeks and maybe for the fact that I hosted such a garden in the hopes that Peter Rabbit would make an appearance.

Daddy Was a Cowboy
One could easily say that I have a slight obsession with anything leather. My love for wearing, designing, styling and yes, even smelling leather comes honestly. Born and raised on a farm in Mississippi, and the middle child of three girls, my professional cowboy father was content that at least one of us (yes, me) found an interest in being an authentic cowgirl.

Honey Colored Glasses
I came across this wonderful vintage amber glass compote and immediately thought of The Savannah Bee Company and those delicious honeycombs. My friend, Savannah caterer Susan Mason, has travelled miles with them in tow to me here in Texas. The compote truly is the color of honey, especially in the right light. I filled this delicious dish with luscious tree peonies made of supple petals and beds of pollen, clematis so sweet no bee could resist, scented geranium, garden roses, carnations and amazing Oriental poppies for a final sting.
