Inspired by Strawberries

Succulent, sensual and a showy shade of red peeking through a garden of green. The heady aroma of a woven basket filled with those from a pick-your-own roadside farm. Our muse this week is a fresh strawberry. Tomorrow, French speaking artist Katherine Sandoz shares a story and stunning piece of artwork about 18th Century French Socialite Madame Tallien and her love of a strawberry juice bath (among other things).

For Wednesday, our very entertaining writer, Andrea Goto, wonders why her parents never allowed her to pick her own strawberries and questions the love she gained and missed by this omission. For Thursday, Libbie Summers, bakes up a Fresh Picked Strawberry Bread recipe and a special lathering butter. Throughout the week, photographer Chia Chong will share the beauty in Spring’s ruby through her thoughtful eye. Stop by each day and pick-your-own. We’ll be waiting for you with red stained lips and pretty dress.
