Spring Onions and White Lace

Food is our trigger to all design. Its color may inform our fashion, its texture may inform our artwork. Its shape may inform our interiors and its flavor will always inform our table. This week the diaphanous lacy layers of a spring onion just pulled from the ground inspires our lives. Today we introduce you to their overall beauty. Tomorrow, organic farmer and queen of the onion, Relinda Walker is profiled by our own Andrea Goto. Wednesday, Amy Zurcher introduces you to one of her favorite people –Designer, Artist, DIY God and Gentleman’s Dandy, Kyle Millsap. Kyle takes you through the step by step process of painting your own onion inspired wall-paper!  Thursdays are always for a new recipe. We could just call it “Recipe Thursday”, but that would be common. This Thursday, Libbie Summers shares a savory waffle recipe that makes wanting waffles for dinner always acceptable. Friday, artist and overall creative extraordinaire Katherine Sandoz shows you how the smallest piece of lace and a craving for onions can become whimsical art. Saturday, get ready to hit the town with a lace inspired wardrobe changer by fashion stylist, Brooke Atwood. As always the thoughtful photography of Chia Chong is the fresh Spring air that ties each story together. Join us each day this week. You can’t miss us…we’ll be the ones wearing lace with a faint hint of onion on our breath.
