Ringing in 2012

With coffee being this weeks muse, I thought what could be more appropriate than featuring my newly shellac’d nails adorned with my usual amount of piled on rings drinking my one daily addiction…coffee. Adding as many rings as possible to my fingers is just as much a morning routine as brushing my teeth and pouring my first cup. I swear, if I could add more fingers to my hands to allow more rings, I probably would. Well, maybe not to that extreme, but it definitely would help eliminate my dilemma to which ones can’t fit on to my ten digits. I especially love these vintage sterling and turquoise finds from Habersham Antiques here in Savannah. Turquoise is one of the oldest gemstones known and considered the stone of life, good fortune, and symbol of wealth by the American Indians. And who doesn’t need a little of that? Perfect for this new year upon us! The one questions I always get as a stylist from inquiring fashionistas is “What is this years staple piece I should purchase?” My answer to them as far as accessories goes will be turquoise rings… no matter your age, style or budget..turquoise rings are an easy fashion fix and find, as well as a “must have” in my book!

Turquoise and coral ring $225

Large black stone w/crystals $125

Turquoise and sterling ring $65

All available at Habersham Antiques Market (other silver rings, from author’s personal collection)
